Long story short. I didn’t have a relapse. But, the stress had caused my platelet levels to jump up to 60. After a incredibly stressful day, they took my IV out. We got into the car an started driving. 30min later, I started bleeding from where they put the IV line in. I remember thinking. “There’s no way I have platelets of 60.” Turns out I was right. My platelets were back down to 4.
**Aside from the IVIG, that experience of incredible stress what the only thing that made my platelets come back. It looks like there is also a correlation between sun exposure (damage) and increased platelets).
I was diagnosed with ITP. My diet experiment could be a co-incidence. But, the incidence of ITP (which is what I was diagnosed with – essentially low platelets, and we don’t know why) is 1 in 100,000. So, the chance of me getting it within a three day window of my ginger experiment is around 1 in 10,00,000. Also, my hemoglobin went up, WBC went down. ITP can’t explain this. It’s the exact opposite of anemia from chronic inflammation. Which would make sense if I’ve got rid of pretty much all my inflammation.
